SunAssociation has partnered with one of the larges Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) programs in the United States. Memmbers can access over 1,700 GPO contracts with over 1,100 vendors, and save up to 43%!
What is a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO)? A GPO utilizes the buying power of its members to negotiate discounts with vendors. All of the negotiated prices are then put under contract between the GPO and the vendor, most of which are guaranteed for 1-3 years. The GPO’s members are then entitled to receive all of the discounts under contract.
How do the members receive the discounts? The members receive the GPO discounts either directly from a vendor or through their distributor. If the members are receiving discounts through their distributor, the manufacturer will sell their product to the distributor at the cost of the GPO contract. The distributor then adds their markup (also at a GPO contract rate) to the base cost of the GPO contract and delivers that price to the members.
How much does the GPO program cost? The program is free for SunAssociation members.
How the SunAssociation Group Purchasing Program Works After you join the program, we will analyze all of your expenses for your facility. We then reconcile your expenses with our partner Veira with the GPO contracts and work with your distributor to reduce your costs. Veira will coordinate with the vendors and distributors you buy from, notifying them you’re now part of the GPO program.
At anytime, you can have your expenses reanalyzed to see if there are any additional savings your facility can be taking advantage of. We will also be periodically reevaluating your expenses to ensure you are saving the maximum amount. SunAssociation and Veira are with you every step of the way taking care of all of the hard work.
